Mark Lewis

Registered Massage Therapist

As a registered massage therapist and personal trainer, Mark has a thorough understanding of human anatomy and physiology and knows how to optimize human performance. A natural interest in working with athletes has followed, and he is currently working through his candidacy to become a certified sports massage therapist with the Canadian Sport Massage Therapist Association (CSMTA).

He graduated with honors from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2018 and is a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). His training has given him the tools and practice needed to satisfy the needs of a diverse clientele in a safe and effective manner.

Mark has treated many athletes across a wide range of sports at the recreational, collegiate, and elite levels. He has worked with swimmers, wrestlers, cyclists, runners, hockey players, and more, and is interested in expanding his exposure to different athletic disciplines.

Another avenue of massage therapy that Mark has found great satisfaction in is his time treating patients in hospital and hospice settings, where common treatment goals include increasing relaxation and circulation, decreasing stiffness and musculoskeletal pain, and gently restoring range of motion.

Outside of Reactivate, he can be found exploring the outdoors in some way, shape or form. He is passionate about hiking, rock climbing, soccer, bike trails, and more. As a lifelong active individual, he has had to work through some injuries himself, so he can fully appreciate how frustrating and limiting these can be and enjoys helping his patients work through their own.

Mark enjoys using his time and skill set to help people live their lives to the fullest, whether that means helping them work through an injury or decreasing the likelihood of one occurring in the future. He values being part of a multidisciplinary team that shares the same mindset.
